STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - It’s an end to an era in Statesboro.
Feb. 17 is the last Friday for the "regulars" at Snooky's Restaurant. The owner says he is ready to retire after 40 years and is selling the property. He and his father, Snooky Yawn, opened the restaurant in 1971. For 40 years, they served generations of Statesboro residents and Georgia Southern students.
Many showed up Friday morning to have one last meal and to say farewell to the local landmark.
