Voting under way across Georgia

Voters are lining up to cast their ballots for Georgia's Primary.

The transportation special local option sales tax is one of the largest state issues. Gov. Nathan Deal made a final push on Monday for the TSPLOST.

Most polling places are reporting a very low turnout. Board of Elections officials say they are not expecting a high turnout.

"I think we are already taxed and I think the tax money has not been put where it should be. I think it's another tax to take up for mistakes that have already been made," said Billy Sanders of Savannah.

WASHINGTON (WTOC) - The U.S. Army celebrates its founding 237 years ago on June 14. It was then that the Continental Army was formed.

This year's 237th Army Birthday theme is "America's Army:  The Strength Of The Nation.

During the American Revolution in 1775, the Continental Congress voted to adopt the Boston troops on June 14, although there is no written record of this decision, according to the U.S. Army website and the U.S. Army Center Of Military History.

Statewide nurse-in set for Monday

Mothers from across Georgia have a nurse-in planned for Monday to demand change in state breastfeeding laws.

These women want the law to change so that breastfeeding would not be considered indecent exposure, and a mother would not be arrested or ticketed for feeding her child.
