Women found shot outside of lounge in Statesboro

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC)- The Statesboro Police Department is investigating a homicide and aggravated assault that occured early Sunday morning outside of the Platinum Lounge.

Officers responded to a report of gunshots fired at about 2:30 a.m. at 2 Proctor St. Two women were discovered shot in the lounge's parking lot. They found one of the victims dead at the scene and the other was suffering from a gunshot wound. The names of the victims have not been released.

Prisoner escapes while being transported to Bulloch Co. jail

BULLOCH CO., GA (WTOC) - Ricky Jacktavian Mosley, 24, escaped from his restraints and fled on foot at 5 p.m. Tuesday while being transported from Georgia State Prison to the Bulloch County Jail.

He was last seen wearing a white and blue GA D.O.C. jumpsuit and black boots. Mosley is 5'9", 160 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. His priors include robbery.

BULLOCH CO., GA (WTOC) - A Bulloch County man is facing several felony charges after deputies say he stole more than 55,000 pounds of metal.

Effingham county deputies say they got a tip Saturday that Charles King, Jr. was traveling on US 80 with a large amount of stolen scrap metal. Turns out both the trailer and the metal were stolen from a recycling company in Swainsboro, Emanuel County.

3 arrested for robbery in Bulloch County

Bulloch County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an alarm at Mi San Pedro #2, a Hispanic grocery business located on US 301S in Statesboro, on Nov. 29. Deputies were notified that a robbery occurred at the location when they were en route.

Upon arrival, it was determined through witness statements and video surveillance that two individuals wearing masks had entered the store and snatched the cash drawer before fleeing on foot. Canine units from the Georgia Department of Corrections tracked to a residence in county Lakes Estates MHP, just behind Mi San Pedro #2.
